Absztrakt

The idea of a more air centric counterinsurgency (COIN) approach is being proposed by many airpower theorists, claiming that the extended use of air capabilities would lead to lower costs in money, lives and resources with equal or better result than using large ground forces. In this study, I am searching for the answer whether in counterinsurgency operations air forces can play a strategic role or they are limited to accomplish tactical success and act as a force multiplier.
