Szinte észrevétlen maradt hazánkban a 2017 óta zajló konfliktus Mozambik északi Cabo Delgado tartományában, melynek gyökerei a múltba és az ország határain túlra mutatnak. A tisztánlátást nagyban nehezíti, hogy az ottani kormány nem enged újságírókat, kutatókat és független szervezeteket a harcok sújtotta északi térségbe, az államilag vezetett „sajtótúrák” mellett csak a kétes hitelességű hivatalos kormányjelentések, a menekültek beszámolói, illetve a másik (terrorista) oldal1 propagandacélzatú megjelenései adnak támpontokat a helyzet megismeréséhez.
