Konvencionális légierőből aszimmetrikus haderőnem? A brit Királyi Légierő műveleteinek jellemzői három évtized alatt

Nagy-Britannia légi haderőneme az elmúlt évtizedekben szinte folyamatosan műveleti tapasztalatokat szerzett éles, harci körülmények között. Ezek a műveletek változó technikai és eljárásbeli kihívásokat jelentettek a szükséges képességek skáláján, a konvencionális jellegű képességektől az aszimmetrikus jellemzőkkel bírókig bezárólag. Jelen tanulmány a RAF által végrehajtott néhány fontosabb hadműveletet vizsgálja e szempontrendszer szerint, arra keresve a választ, hogy a brit légierő esetében mely képességek jelentették a prioritást az egyes hadműveletek során, illetve megállapítható-e egyértelmű fejlesztési irány ezen a téren.
