Digital information communication systems are essential parts to military operations. The organization and management of the various data and audio links is an important characteristic and also a challenge of the ability of the Hungarian Defense Forces practiced in field conditions. The authors aim to introduce the reader to the importance of the network capabilities of info-communication systems, through the presentation of the development of the mobile IT centers used by the Hungarian Defense Forces. These centers help the ground forces’ command and control system, and due to the importance of its role in network-centric operations, they also raise important development issues.
