The study deals with the effects of the Earth’s rotation on projectiles. Focusing on the Earth’s force field, the author investigates what
changes occur in the projectile trajectory, what causes them and how theycan be calculated. To illustrate the effect, the variations in the flat trajectories of long-range shots fired from a PzH 2000 self-propelled gun, which produce highly curved trajectories, are shown as a function of latitude and orientation.
