After having been postponed many times, on 25 December 2021, the James Webb Space Telescope on an Ariane-5 rocket was launched from the European Space Agency’s launch pad in Kourou French Guiana. The equipment developed as the successor of the Hubble Space Telescope is the most powerful and the most complex space telescope of the NASA that will explores the cosmos, the planets and moons in the Solar System, the oldest and farthest galaxies using infrared light over the coming decades.
