Abstract

The struggling life of Hungarian aviators was driven by an enthusiasm: the unconditional love of flying. In addition to recalling the biography of aircraft designer Ernő Horváth, mentioning technical historical curiosities and little-known biographical data, the author aims to shed light on the commitment and humility that was a common feature of designers, pilots, scientists and soldiers at the beginning of the Hungarian aviation era.
