Abstract

The Defence and Military Development Program (HHP) considers the development of individual equipment for dismounted soldiers to be a priority. Due to this framework the Hungarian Defence Forces (MH) has exchanged even the standard service rifles. This paper provides a brief analysis of the newly deployed CZ BREN 2 assault rifle. It describes the parameters, operation, tactical and technical characteristics of this assault rifle, the standard ammunition used, and compares them with the corresponding characteristics of the previously used AK-63D type.
