By 2027, the Bundeswehr plans to procure 20 EMT HUSAR unmanned reconnaissance and targeting systems to replace the aging KZO and Luna reconnaissance drone systems. The LUNA NG is a high-performance powered airplane with a range of more than 100 km and a load capacity of 30 kg. It can stay in the air for up to twelve hours. Its payload and service life are more than double that of previous models.
