Abstract

Maybe the virtual reality is not the invention of the 21st century, but the technology has just reached the development level in the past decades that made possible the widespread of the VR technical devices. Nowadays people can mainly use immersive VR devices while watching films or being in theme parks or entertaining facilities. However, with some investment everyone can experience the VR even at home. In the field of military training lots of elements of VR systems have been used for many decades, although the integration of the most immersive, cutting-edge VR devices still offers further dynamic development for the reform and modernization of the national military training system. In our current study we review the major historical landmarks of virtual reality evolution.
