Az Orbán-ágyú

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The study, based on literature sources, examines the ballistic
characteristics of the Orbán’s cannon used in the siege of Constantinople in
1453. The author also presents some moments in development of scientific
ballistics through the period of XVI-XIX centuries. To reconstruct the range
tables of Orbán’s cannon, the author uses the difference model of naive external ballistics.
