Abstract

ABSTRACT: In 1961, as another round of the then-4-year-old Soviet-American space race, US President John Fitzgerald Kennedy announced the ApolloSaturn lunar expedition space program. The Soviets also prepared to land on
the Moon during the spaceflight Zond – N1. The Americans took the lead from
the Russians through successful Apollo-Saturn experiments. The topicality of
the study is given by the announcement that in 2019, under the Artemis
program, US President Donald Trump announced the return to the Moon.
