Drone detection developments

Over the past decade, the drone market has exploded and spread widely. While a few years ago drones were considered as a hobby, nowadays they are widely used (e. g. inspection of power lines, aerial photography, videography, broadcasting, approaching dangerous places, transport of goods, etc.). In addition to civilian use, cheap to produce and operate drones also played a significant role in military operations. Furthermore, the potential danger caused intentionally or unintentionally by their unauthorised use increases. In this article, we focus on the preventive possibilities of these cases, the reduction of malicious use and defence industrial developments, presenting the various drone prevention and detection options, including the drone detection system developed by BHE Bonn Hungary Electronics Ltd.
