Discovering the dark universe with Euclid space telescope

Abstract

The fundamental questions of cosmology, which examines the universe as a whole, include the identification and understanding of the types of matter and energy present within it, as well as the tracking of the observed cosmic expansion’s velocity as accurately as possible. However, the situation is greatly complicated by the clear presence of unknown components that do not emit light and only interact through gravity. The Euclid space telescope, which began its scientific program this summer, will investigate this dark matter and even more mysterious dark energy.
