The closing event of iMUGS PESCO programme

Abstract

The author, as the Director of Modernisation Directorate at the Hungarian Defence Forces Force Modernisation and Transformation
Command, participated for the sixth time in the iMUGS working group meeting and related technical demonstrations, this time in Flämingkasarne, near the town of Brück, Germany. The nearly two-year programme has now come to its final event, during which recent developments were demonstrated. This year’s demonstration was divided into two scenarios, a combat, and a technology-
focused demonstration, which worked on the provision of reconnaissance, support, and logistics capabilities of UGVs. The demonstrations will provide a good basis for the UGV Trial-2023 to be held in Estonia in June 2023, where UGV teams from different nations will compete against each other in different test environment optimised for UGVs.
