Space weather phenomena and their impact on human activities

Abstract

Space Weather is a relatively new area of Space Science, the effects of which we have to reckon with more and more these days. Modern technological devices and critical infrastructure are especially vulnerable to the effects of Space Weather. In our study, we review the sources and processes of space weather, we summarize the most important effects and consequences on modern technology, and we also cover the possibility of protection.
