The Turkish Bayraktar combat UAV, Part 1

Abstract

The Bayraktar, the TB2 undercarriage-launched MALE UCAV produced by the Turkish company Baykar Makina from 2016. The armed TB2 UAV played a major role in the 2020 Azeri-Armenian war and the 2022 Russian-Ukrainian war. It was used in a UAV regiment force-structure in 2020. This article discusses the history of Bayraktar drones, with a special focus on the TB2 type.
