The beginning of defence innovation

Abstract

Hungary’s National Research, Development and Innovation Strategy states that the development of the defense sector and R+D+I activities have an impact not only on national defense but also on the entire society, the economy and the environment. In this paper the author examines the role and task system of the Hungarian Armed Forces in the above processes. Discussing the process of defense innovation in three steps, the sub-areas of knowledge production, knowledge flow and knowledge use are taken one by one.
