UAV, UAS, RPA, drone, cruiser missile – Using of new technologies, Part 1

Abstract

The smaller – greater unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) were appeared firstly in military applications, that nowadays claim their implementation into all areas of life. There is not so easy to follow and understand their varied names. This short summary introduces the different names applied (UAV, AUS, RPA, drone, missiles, etc.) and their possible military and civilian applicability. The paper tries to define the Hungarian denominations, but it is recommended to know the international notedly English professional names and abbreviation of the given vehicles.
