Privacy Statement

Dear Authors, Reviewers and Partners,

The publisher of the journal Haditechnika (Military Technology) informs the visitors of the webpage about the personal data it processes, its practices in relation to the processing of personal data, the organizational and technical measures it has taken to protect personal data, and the rights of data subjects. Our data processing practices are based on the relevant regulations, on Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, repealing Regulation 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR Regulation) and on Act CXII of 2011 on the right of informational self-determination and freedom of information.

 2)         Data processing, categories of personal data:

  1. a) The purpose of our data processing is the conclusion and performance of a service and licence agreement, so the consent concerns the conclusion and performance of this agreement.
  2. b) The legal basis for our data processing is the GDPR Regulation Article 6 (1)(b). That is, data processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party or in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract.
  3. c) No automated decision-making, including profiling, is carried out in the course of the data processing.
  4. d) The scope of personal data processed: name, place and date of birth, mother’s name, address, tax identification number, social security number, identity card number, name and address of the full-time workplace, position or rank, telephone number, email address, mailing address or bank account number, amount of author’s fee, task of the author, the beginning and end of the legal relationship.
  5. e) Without the processing of personal data, the licence agreement can neither be concluded nor performed.

     3) Data disclosure, data transfer, data processing, duration of data processing,
          source of personal data:

  1. a) In the case of a statutory obligation, we will provide data to the competent bodies. Bodies/persons other than the competent bodies and the data processor are not entitled to access the data.
  2. b) We do not transfer data to third countries or international organizations.
  3. c) Data processor: personal data will not be transferred to any data processor.
  4. d) In order to comply with §169 of Act C of 2000 on Accounting (hereinafter referred to as the Accounting Act), the data will be retained for a period of 8 years from the date of termination of the legal relationship.
  5. e) Legal basis for data processing: legal basis for data processing for the performance and preparation of a contract as set out in Article 6 (1)(b) of the GDPR Regulation, and the legal basis for data storage (8 years) on the basis of the Accounting Act: fulfilment of a statutory obligation (Article 6 (1)(c) of the GDPR Regulation).

    4) Your rights:

  1. You may request from us the following for the entire period of data processing in relation to your personal data that we process:
  • access to personal data concerning you;
  • rectification of your personal data if they are inaccurate;
  • restriction of processing in the following cases:
    • if you contest the accuracy of your data (restriction applies to the period of time during which the data controller checks the accuracy of the data);
  • the erasure of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”) in the following cases:
    • the data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected,
    • where the personal data have been unlawfully processed,
    • the personal data must be erased for compliance with a legal obligation in Union or Member State law to which the data controller is subject;
  • in the case of unlawful processing, you request the restriction of the data instead of erasure if the data controller no longer needs the data, but you request the restriction for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • you may exercise your right to object.

With regard to the personal data that you have provided to the data controller, you have the right to request that the data controller make them available to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and you are allowed to transmit them to another controller.

  1. b) If you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR Regulation, you may contact the competent tribunal of your place of residence or location, or the data protection officer of the data controller.
  2. c) Legal remedies and complaints may be lodged with the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
