Abstract

During UAV operations the operators can establish oscillations of the aircraft even unintentionally. The PIOs might lead to severe damages or to the loss of the aircraft at all. The PIOs of the conventional manned aircraft are in the focus of attention of the experts since many decades. However, due to diversity of the newest and wide-scale UAV applications more and more attention is paid to the PIOs of the UAVs, which is an emerging field holding forth. Hopefully, results and experiences gained in this field will be applied effectively both by UAV owners and also by the UAV operators.
